Business Services

Business services refers to work that supports a business, but does not produce a tangible product. This type of work can include many different activities such as human resources, finance and accounting, and information technology. Businesses often utilize shared services to achieve efficiencies and cost savings.

Business-to-consumer, or B2C, service businesses provide customers with a service that they would not be able to accomplish independently due to lack of expertise, training or resources. Some examples of B2C service businesses are landscaping, cleaning and pet care.

Depending on the industry, these types of services can be very profitable. However, these industries are competitive and the success of a business depends on providing exceptional customer service and marketing to attract customers.
