Entertaiment can be understood as a consumer activity that is consumed for pleasure. It is an objectively understood activity that encompasses communication between text and audience from an external stimulus, off ers pleasure to the audience, and requires their passive participation. The word “entertainment” is derived from the Medieval Latin intertenere, meaning to hold inside, and it is also associated with the Indo-European root ten, meaning to stretch. Entertainment can be found in the following activities: Movies and Television, Music, Books and Literature, Sports and Games, Dance and Physical Performance, and Visual Arts. These forms of entertainment provide pleasure and relaxation to individuals in an otherwise stressful, boring or burdening life situation.
